The event will be hosted on the Grey Bruce Health Unit Facebook Live page starting at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 26, 2020. The session will be recorded and made available on the Grey Bruce Health Unit YouTube channel.

“We want to support families as they consider the decision to send their child or children back to school in September.” Says Grey Bruce Top Doc, Ian Arra. “Returning to school is vital for the child’s education and for their overall wellbeing. At the same time there are a number of questions to consider about their families’ health and safety.”

We have a relatively exceptional situation in Grey and Bruce. We achieved high level of prevention of transmission and optimal control over the outbreak. As we move forward, the priority for Grey Bruce Public Health and the local school community is to continue to work together to help built a safe environment for school staff and children to learn.

Sunday May 24 Worship suggestions

12:22 AM (13 hours ago)

Hello everyone,

I have completed my week of Continuing Education which was fabulous. So grateful to have been able to attend The Festival of Homiletics ( The craft of preaching) online! There were so many wonderful speakers and lecturers, all so different. The main theme was on Climate Change with many of the leaders making connections to Biblical scripture but also brought in connection between climate change and covid 19 . Lots of talk about covid and the huge inpact there has been from it on those particularly in the states.

You won't see my face tomorrow for worship but I would love to share with you the message from one of the speakers from early in the week named Rev. Dr. Otis Moss 111.

He is the senior pastor at Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago. He titled his message " Living With the Certainty of Uncertainty" ( sermon based on the road to Emmaus)

You will find it here near the end of this video.

Alternatively I share the link of a more local worship from Port Elgin United Church

https://youtu.be/B7XXbR2KVr0

And this is from Jasper United Church where a long time friend of mine who used to live in Owen Sound, Rev. Nancy Monteith, now serves. The scenery is beautiful in this video for last week!

You may have already found some favourites that you have been tuning into as well.

Blessings on your worship time.

Sending God's love and light to you.

Maundy Thursday/Good Friday

Good morning everyone,

This is Wednesday of Holy Week and I would like to share some things with you today.

I have added a few attachments in this email.

Tomorrow is Maundy Thursday. Please find the attachment for a Maundy Thursday service outline. I invite you to take part at your leisure sometime before  tomorrow evening. It is scripture and prayer based. As well, for each section there is a thought provoking question.

Good Friday– here is a link to a live streamed service at Islington United Church in Mississauga at 10:30 am on Friday morning. I have met Rev. Maya on different occasions and she is lovely…I have been enjoying their services the last few weeks. https://islingtonunited.org/2020/04/01/good-friday-service-april-10-2020-at-1030-am/

There are many ways that we can come to prayer. I have attached a finger labyrinth that can be printed (recommended) or just used on the screen. You can add this to your tool boxes as a means of connecting with the Spirit.

in peace,

Kara
